I have eyed this cleanser for quite some time now, but I really didn’t want to give in to my inner guinea pig – yet again. Oh well, apparently that didn’t last for very long
So, here I am with another incredible product. And by incredible, I mean it doesn’t irritate, aggravate, dry-out, or tear my complexion a new one. It simply cleanses and hydrates my skin with tender loving care. I can’t say much about the long-term effects, since I’ve only been using it for a few days, but I quite fancy the ingredients – and the lack of harsh chemicals.
The one thing you must know is, this cleanser doesn’t lather or foam. It has the consistency of a moisturizing cream, which is a tad misleading, hence the name – Cleansing Milk. Which at first, made me think it was going to be watered-down. But after some digging, I realized this cleanser was exactly what I was looking for. Let me explain… even though I have an oily complexion, I much prefer my cleansers to have a thick/rich consistency; the reason being, I don’t like it when my face feels dry and tight after having just washed it. And for some reason, cleansers with thick formulas tend to leave my skin more hydrated than those that are watered-down. I’m sure a chemist would be able to explain this in further detail, unfortunately, I don’t know one.
Anyway, I also wanted to mention that I use this cleanser along with my Clarisonic; it takes all of my make-up off, besides my mascara. For this, I use Jojoba oil. And, for those of you who have an intolerance or sensitivity to fragrance, this cleanser does contain citrus oils (which gives it its citrus-y scent), however, I have yet to feel the burn. And I mean burn, when I apply anything scented on my face or body, my skin reacts as though it’s been set on fire. But this only applies to chemically formulated fragrances, not natural oils.
Other perks… 70% organic content, 100% vegetarian ingredients, no parabens, no harsh preservatives, no synthetic colors or fragrances, no phthalates, no sodium lauryl or laureth sulfate.
