Origins Age-Defense White Tea Skin Guardian…

I know that winter is slowly coming to an end, but before it does, I have to review this incredible product. I am talking about the Origins A Perfect World White Tea Skin Guardian.

I came across this gem of a product about two years ago. It was the middle of winter and my face was feeling the wrath of the harsh winter breeze. You know, the kind that leaves you red in the face and unable to move because you’re facial muscles are frozen solid… sound familiar? – probably. I can’t remember exactly how I stumbled upon this gem, but thank goodness I did, I was pretty sure my face was going to fall off. But it didn’t, yay!

So, where should I start as to how incredible and very effective this product is at keeping one’s skin oh-so hydrated and looking tres magnifique. Oh, I believe I just did :) Seriously, this product is truly a holy grail find for those harsh winter blizzards or just a mild breeze. You’ll never have to worry about windburn again – no joke. Also, because my complexion tends to be combination/oily during the winter months, I don’t find the need to apply a moisturizer on top of this. I simply apply it after I wash my face and go. And when I bother with make-up, I use this as a primer. One other lovely feature about this product is the scent, it’s almost therapeutic – very calming. Also note, the formula is lightweight, colorless and leaves no greasy mess behind.

The only drawback for me is when the weather warms up, I have to switch to a less hydrating serum/moisturizer. Otherwise during winter I prefer to use this product – and only this product. However, more than a handful of times I switch to my other favorites:  jojoba oil and ilike stonecrop moisturizer.

If you would like to use a moisturizer on top of the Skin Guardian (with the same incredible ingredients), I would highly recommend using the Origins A Perfect World Antioxidant Moisturizer, which also comes in an oil-free version.

You can purchase these products at the following websites: drugstore.com, sephora.com, origins.com, macys.com, etc. The full-size version (of Skin Guardian) comes in a 1.0 fl. oz. / 30 mL ($36)… and 1.7 fl. oz. / 50 mL ($52) plastic container with pump.
